Wat Khao Tham is a very peaceful and quiet place, perfect if you’re looking for a calm and reflective atmosphere away from the busy parts of Koh Phangan. There were almost no people when we visited, which made the experience even more special. The monks we encountered were calm and politely welcoming, and the overall atmosphere felt authentic and undisturbed. The temple itself does not require a long visit — about 20–30 minutes is enough to walk around, explore the area, and enjoy the views and silence. The only real downside was transportation. I really liked the monastery and meditated for hours there. I enjoyed my time. Although the owner gave me mixed feelings talking about males and females doing massages at sunset😐 He showed me a spot to meditate in nature and prepared a seat for me then I was like ok thanks I'm gonna meditate now. He started to look at my back and say something, I thought he was talking about mosquitoes eating my back but no he proceeded touching my back trying to massage me. I immediately called him out and told him to just go I was good. You can't touch someone without their consent especially a woman coming for her dharma practice. I wouldn't return didn't feel pure.
